Personal Statement (Revised)

Hello my name is Herdimas Muhammad Farkhan. Currently I’m studying at Binus University majoring English Literature. It’s has been my dream to study abroad in overseas especially in Europe. My goal is to study at Cambridge University. From what I heard Cambridge University has diverse culture and It's been my dream to travel and experience the western culture with my naked eye. I would prefer to study the same major that I take currently for one semester.

I’m good at communication and public speaking skills. I’ve ever been participated in some international debate conference issuing a latest topic including Syrian war and North Korea conflict. With this activity I can improve my skills and would have benefited with my study there.

I also have ability to work with groups and organization and attended some social organizations in campus. The organization that I experienced would have helped me to work with people and solve problems together. I hope that I can expand my organization and team work skills in diverse community in Cambride University.

Another reason why I choose to study in Cambridge University is that UK has one of the highest education standard in the world. I also hope that I can get many cultural experience that will help my career in the future.

Personal Statement

It's been my dream to travel and experience the western culture with my naked eye. Majored in English Literature studies had given me the motivation to go abroad and become more independent. I'm planning to apply a student exchange program in Cambridge University with 6 months to stay. Cambridge University has diverse culture because many people around the world is studying there so it is a good place to experience diversity and learn many new things. The path that I took to get accepted in the student exchange program may be a bit difficult to accomplish. But I will strive to achieve my dream to study there by completing many requirements such as IELTS test and others. During my exchange program I will take a part time job so that I can get an extra money to live there maybe I will work at Starbucks since I love coffee and I want to become a professional barista in the future.
As for my background I'm a fourth semester student majoring English Literature at Binus University. I currently active in social community organisation in campus. We work in social development near campus area. I also took an internship in a marketing company as a copywriter so that I can get many work experiences.
I am that person who like to work with people and organisations and I like to solve a problem together with my group and friends. I hope that I got accepted in the student exchange program and fulfil my dream.
